June News

School is out for summer, but Kids Knit Camp began this week.  Twelve students are having lots of fun learning to knit and improving their knitting skills.

Join us Thursday, June 24th, from 6:30 to 9 PM for Knitter’s Knite Out. This month we’ll be showing our Team Spirit by knitting scarves and hats in our favorite team colors.  Whether you root for the Zionsville Eagles, Indiana Hoosiers, Purdue Boilermakers, Indianapolis Colts or another team, we’ll have the colors you need in our full line of Cascade 220.  You must register for this event, space is limited.   Purchase 2 skeins of Cascade 220 Wool or Encore and we’ll supply the patterns. Bring a US 8 – 16” circular needle for the hat, and a US 13 – 24 (or longer) circular needle for the scarf.  If you choose to make the hat, you will also need a stitch marker.  This is not a class, just knitting fun together.  Bring your own beverage and/or snack, and we will have a fun evening together! Call the shop at 873-0004 or stop by to sign up.

Our Crochet teacher Jessi will be offering a fun beginner class in July.   The Crocheted Rainbow Scarf class will begin July 7th from 3 – 5 pm.  There will be 3 classes, $10 each plus the cost of supplies.  You may have seen this granny square scarf sample in the shop.  Harriett just received a shipment of the yarn used in the sample and she is holding it for the class.  Check your summer calendar and come in to sign up.
